Our Approach & Advisory Board

A structured, four-phase delivery methodology backed by independent governance and CA-led regional leadership.

Our Delivery Approach

Every AGFCA engagement follows a structured four-phase methodology — from initial mobilisation through to final closeout — ensuring rigorous, consistent, and transparent compliance delivery.

01
Phase 1
Mobilisation

We begin every engagement with a structured mobilisation phase — establishing the engagement team, reviewing award documentation, conducting stakeholder introductions, and developing the detailed work plan and testing methodology. This phase sets the foundation for a rigorous, well-scoped engagement.

  • Engagement team deployment
  • Award and sub-award documentation review
  • Stakeholder introductions and kick-off meetings
  • Risk assessment and scoping
  • Work plan and testing methodology development
02
Phase 2
Field Testing

Our CA-led field teams conduct on-site and desk-based testing against the agreed methodology — including transaction testing, document verification, internal control assessments, and compliance reviews. All findings are documented in real time using our standardised working paper templates.

  • On-site field verification visits
  • Transaction-level testing and sampling
  • Internal control and governance assessments
  • Document and record verification
  • Compliance review against donor requirements
03
Phase 3
Remediation

Where findings are identified, we work collaboratively with the organisation to develop practical, implementable corrective action plans. Our remediation support goes beyond identifying problems — we help organisations build the systems and controls needed to prevent recurrence.

  • Finding classification and risk rating
  • Corrective action plan (CAP) development
  • Management response facilitation
  • System and control improvement recommendations
  • Follow-up verification of corrective actions
04
Phase 4
Closeout

The final phase covers project closeout — including final financial reconciliation, asset disposition, closeout workpaper preparation, and the submission of all required donor reports. We ensure every engagement ends with a clean, compliant, and well-documented closeout.

  • Final financial report reconciliation
  • Asset inventory and disposition
  • Closeout workpaper preparation
  • Final compliance report submission
  • Lessons learned and knowledge transfer
